Using asanas (postures), mudras, pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation, the practice of Kundalini Yoga balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, and enables us to harness the energy of the mind and the emotions, so we can be in control of ourselves, rather than being controlled by our thoughts and feelings. This is yoga for everyday life, and every person. You are not required to be in perfect physical shape or believe anything in particular. Kundalini Yoga works for you if you can breathe and move your body. The gift of Kundalini Yoga is that you experience it. No words can replace that experience. Your experience goes right to your heart, your core. These ancient teachings are designed to give you “hands on” experience of your highest consciousness. By approaching Kundalini Yoga with openness and respect, you can change your life.

Iyengar Yoga, created by B.K.S. Iyengar, is a form of yoga known for its use of props, such as belts and blocks, as aids in performing asanas (postures).
It is firmly based on the traditional eight limbs of yoga as expounded by Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras, emphasizing the development of strength, stamina, flexibility and balance, as well as concentration (Dharana) and meditation (Dhyana).
A form of Hatha Yoga, Iyengar focuses on the structural alignment of the physical body through the development of asanas. Through the practice of a system of asanas, it aims to unite the body, mind and spirit for health and well-being. This discipline is considered a powerful tool to relieve the stresses of modern-day life which in turn can help promote total physical and spiritual well-being.
Iyengar Yoga is characterized by great attention to detail and precise focus on body alignment. Iyengar pioneered the use of "props" such as cushions, benches, blocks, straps, and even sand bags, which function as aids allowing beginners to experience asanas more easily and fully than might otherwise be possible without several years of practice. Props also allow tired or ill students to enjoy the benefits of many asanas via fully "supported" methods requiring less muscular effort.
Basic-Basic classes are for students who are new to yoga or students who have not been consistent in their practice.
This is the class where we set our intentions and establish a solid foundation for our practice.
We work on building strength, flexibility and learning how to coordinate breath with movement.
We remind our teachers to give their students a balance of personal attention and space, allowing them to develop their own relationship to the practice. All classes consist of flowing asana sequences as well as short meditation, yoga breathing (pranayama) and guided relaxation.
Kids Yoga- Prana Yoga offers Yoga for kids ages 4-9. Kids will enjoy discovering the way their bodies move and function through animal imagery and animal sounds in the poses as well as playing games in a non-competitive environment.
